ABOUT ME
Arthy Jayavel is a licensed Clinical Psychologist certified by Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI). She has 8 years of experience in the field of mental health, rehabilitating children and adult.
Arthy Jayavel completed B.Sc, M.Sc, from psychology, her interest in understanding children made her persue B.Ed special education and her passion and motivation towards the field got her MPhil in Clinical Psychology from NIEPMD & certified by Rehabilitation Council of India. She has been trained from the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities,(NIEPMD) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
She provides exclusive holistic therapeutic care for children, adolescents and adults. She has 8 years work experience in the field of special education, she has been providing remedial education and behaviour modification for children. She has been an expert in handling children with POOR ACADEMIC ABILITY, SLOW LEARNERS,LACK OF CONCENTRATION AND ATTENTION,SENSORY ISSUES, LACK OF SOCIALISATION, BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEMS, BED WETTING ,AUTISM, ADHD, LEARNING DISABILITY, EMOTIONAL ISSUES,CONDUCT DISORDER,CHILDHOOD PSYCHOSIS, MENTAL RETARDATION, CEREBRAL PALSY, COMPROMISED IQ, etc. She provides training for children based on cognitive and behavioural technique.she use various therapies like neurocognitive therapy, behavioural modification, play therapy, art based therapy, remedial training.
For adolescents she also does carrier counselling for adolescents and guide them on various field for their excellence based on their interest and strength.she also address sibling rivalry issues, addiction, adolescents issues at home like disobeying, aggression, lack of interest in academics etc.
She also worked for more than 5 years in adult psychiatry and worked with SCARF & BANYAN for rehabilitating adults for their wellbeing. She is being an consultant at hospitals, schools and for corporates.
she has been handling people with Sleep disturbance, excessive tension, memory related issues, anxiety, depression, OCD, emotional problems, phobias, addiction, self harm behaviours, uncontrollable anger and providing therapies like neuro rehabilitation, cognitive therapy, behavioural therapy, CBT, RE&CBT, MBCT, marital therapy, solution focused therapy, insight oriented therapy, Anger management, supportive therapy, training for adult with ADHD, training for adult with learning disability.
She started her carrier working with children with children with AUTISM as psychologist and as special educator and gradually started working with adult psychiatry.
She worked as Assistant professor at “BALM”(collaboration BANYAN & TISS,MUMBAI)guiding students on research, supervised on clinical field work, supervised on assessment
She was taking class for nursing students on psychology at VHS voluntary Health services
She also been consultant at government girls juvenile home as contribution to the society.
She holds her private practise at various hospitals like SIMS (SRM group) and at Neuro clinic at chetpet.
She has conducted several workshops at schools to spread the awareness of mental health issues and promotes better wellbeing. she has been a guest speak at tv shows especially that focus on child development.
Have been a guest speaker at WIPRO for positive parenting,
Guest speaker at PSBB School for Developing resilience in children.
Has has been a guest speaker at CHETINADU SHREEHARI VIDYASHRAM on Positive Parenting
She has been a consultant “life coach” at HCL.
She has co-authored a booklet on Autism - "Bring Ring Tones on the Silent Screen – An Insight into Autism”.
